How to Measure your Dog for an Urban Trail Harness
Please follow these directions to ensure a proper fit. Use this photo
as a guide and measure as if your dog were wearing this specific model.
You may want to print this page for reference and to use during the
ordering process. If you have ANY questions about measuring, feel free
to call or email us!
How to measure your dog for an accurate fit:
- Use a soft measuring tape.
- Be sure the dog is standing square and level with head up and legs square.
- Be sure the dog’s back is not hunched.
- Measure the dog, NOT THE FUR.
- DO NOT pull the tape tight or the measurement will be short.
- Weigh your dog if possible.
MEASURING:
Study the picture below and write down each measurement
on a scrap of paper -- then measure again! If the numbers do not match
closely - then keep measuring until you get consistent measurements.
Proper measurements are very important!!

Measurements:
#1 Neck _________
(Not a literal measurement, so please read closely)
From the Top of the Breastbone in the front of the dog to the base
of the neck at the top. Measure one side and double it.
#2 Mid-Rib___________
From the Top of the Breastbone in the front of the dog,
down between the front legs and to the mid point of the rib cage
(on the belly of the dog). It's the part every dog loves rubbed,
under the neck-where your dog has the most width.
#3 Around Dog (Circumference)________
Measure around the WIDEST part of the dog.
